The short version

Deckyard runs entirely on your machine. It has no user accounts, collects no usage data, and never sends information to us. We don't track you, and we don't sell or share data, because we don't have any. This page explains the few details behind that promise.

Who we are

Deckyard is developed and published by Chronsyn, an independent software project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Elgato, Corsair, Mirabox, Home Assistant, or any other company whose products it works alongside.

The Deckyard application

Your profiles, button layouts, workflows, variables, and settings are stored as ordinary files on your own computer. You own them. We never receive a copy.

  • No account. There is nothing to sign up for and no login.
  • No telemetry or analytics. The app does not measure how you use it.
  • Fully offline. The installed app makes no network requests to Chronsyn or Deckyard servers — not for updates, not for crash reports, not for anything. You can disconnect from the internet and it works exactly the same.

New versions are downloaded manually by you from this website; the app itself never checks for them in the background.

Connections you set up yourself

Deckyard can trigger actions that reach out over the network — for example opening a URL, making an HTTP request, running a shell command, or controlling a Home Assistant instance on your local network using an access token you create. When you configure these, data goes directly from your machine to the destination you chose. Deckyard is only the conduit; those services handle that data under their own privacy policies, not ours. Shell commands run with your own user permissions, so treat them as you would any command you type yourself.

This website

This site is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages, with installers served from Cloudflare R2. As with any website, Cloudflare's servers automatically record standard request information — such as your IP address, browser user-agent, the time of the request, and which page or file you requested — in order to serve the site, protect it, and provide basic aggregate statistics. That data is processed by Cloudflare as our hosting provider; see Cloudflare's own privacy documentation for how they handle it.

We do not set any cookies of our own and we run no analytics or advertising scripts. Cloudflare may set its own strictly-necessary cookies (for example to protect the site against abuse); those are outside our control.

What we never do

  • We don't sell, rent, or share your data.
  • We don't build advertising or behavioural profiles.
  • We don't track you across other sites.

Children

Deckyard is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, EU, or a similar jurisdiction, data-protection law gives you rights over your personal data, such as access, correction, and erasure. Because Deckyard has no accounts and the app collects no personal information, there is normally nothing for us to hold, retrieve, correct, or delete. The only data involved is the website request logs described above, which are processed on our behalf by Cloudflare.

Changes to this policy

If we change how anything described here works, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
